When Math Learned to Think

Exploring the mathematics behind artificial intelligence, reasoning and problem-solving.

About the event

When Math Learned to Think explored the connections between mathematics, problem-solving, and artificial intelligence. Through examples such as solving a maze, the session introduced ideas about intelligent reasoning and the mathematical foundations of AI.

The event also highlighted the Mathematics Society's activities and opportunities for students to participate in talks and the Undergraduate Seminar.

From mathematical ideas to intelligent solutions

The presentation introduced the premises of artificial intelligence and used a maze-solving demonstration to make abstract ideas more approachable. Students had the opportunity to see how mathematical reasoning connects to the questions and methods behind AI.
