"Think. Calculate. Create."

Thinking

Think

We delve deep into abstract concepts, challenging our members to visualize the unseen and ponder the impossible.

Calculating

Calculate

Precision is key. Through competitions like the Integration Bee, we sharpen our analytical skills.

Creating

Math isn't just theory. We apply logic to build AI models, simulations, and real-world solutions.

MEET OUR LEADS

Ahmed Maghri

(President)

I am a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics and Modeling, with a strong interest in problem-solving and intellectual challenges. I enjoy exploring the intersection of mathematics and computer science. Outside of academics, you will probably find me playing basketball or swimming, or maybe playing osu!, where I rank in the top 0.5% worldwide.

tech lead

Zakaria

(Tech Lead)

Development team leader with a passion for alpinism and mountaineering. I love solving complex problems whether they're in code or high up in the mountains.

Social media lead

Taha Hbirri

(Media Lead)

Tech and computer's enjoyer and lead of audio visual team, majoring in computer science, there's absolutly no reason for that but you'll see me on instagram behind the math society posts.

Design lead

Yusuf Bugra Balta

(Design Lead)

Hello, my name is Yusuf Bugra Balta. I am a student in the MMDA department. I am from Turkey. In my free time, I enjoy reading books and playing computer games.

Logistics & Project Management

Eyosiyas

(Logistics & Project Management Lead)

Hey there 👋 I'm Eyosiyas, an Industrial Engineering and Management student who genuinely enjoys planning and coordinating events (yes, I'm the type of person who finds satisfaction in a perfectly organized schedule 😅). When I'm not busy optimizing plans or making sure everything runs smoothly, I'm probably traveling, hanging out with friends, or somehow turning a "quick outing" into a full-day adventure. ✈️😄

TESTIMONIALS

Participant

Alex

(1st Year CS)

"The lecture was "amazing" and "very helpful" for my future learning, specifically noting the interesting mathematical aspects included in AI and machine learning. I also love the passion of the people in the math society and encourage you to join, guranteeing you "will not regret it"."

Participant

Rehmatullah

(1st year CS minor in Robotics)

"As it is the age of technology, especially AI, I am deeply interested in learning more about AI and machine learning. Because the math society organized the event, I wanted to understand the foundational principles behind how AI systems (like chips and other AI) work. I gained deep knowledge by attending this session that will help me in future work."

Participant

Harshal

(1st year MDDA)

"I personally loved the presentation. I was "hooked literally from the first sentence towards the end". I appreciate the way Ahmed explained everything, from the beginning all the way through LLMs. I also liked how he explained heuristics and compared it with machine learning. I attribute being so focused and hooked to Ahmed's attention, level of awareness during the presentation, and his vast knowledge on the subject."
